There’s been a lot of great discussion on our LinkedIn group lately, and I really think it would be worth a minute or two of your time to check it out. I’m just old enough to have missed LinkedIn taking off as a job-seeking platform, so I’m not super-familiar with the website, but it seems to have a lot of conversational and networking power. Below are a few links to some of my recent favorites from the PM group:
“Dear distributors: What are some of your pet peeves about suppliers?”
A longish discussion that started with a supplier looking for ways to improve. Includes a bunch of comments about suppliers that have very good customer service.
“How do I get more people to open my newsletter?”
More and more people are realizing how powerful newsletters can be as a marketing tool. Here a few E-news veterans share some advice with a company just beginning its online marketing.
“Does anyone have strategies for upselling BPA-free or environmentally friendly branded giveaways to clients?”
The poster asks, “We’ve noticed more and more emphasis among consumers on product safety, yet marketers aren’t always able to fit BPA-free or environmentally friendly branded giveaways into their budget. Does anyone have strategies for upselling these products to clients?” No answers yet, which is amazing given how active the group is. If you’re a distributor or supplier with experience selling eco-friendly drinkware, don’t be afraid to chime in and share your thoughts!
Until next week,
Mike
MONDAY MIKE FACT: I can’t believe I’m blogging this late in the Feb. magazine production cycle. This is either the worst idea, or the worst worst idea.
